“Strike” Means No Class

So what does the national vehicle strike bring us students here in UP Miag-ao? Well, no class for some, and that includes us 3rd year CS students. It was such a delight when I knew about it last night, for I was merely using most of the day surfing the ever-tempting Internet, without even taking some clicks on Operating Systems’ Components and Services and System Calls. After hearing the good news, I went to the covered court to watch a Volleyball game. I was just in time for the match between Ryan Damang (a team from school) and Baybay Norte (an ‘outsiders’ team) to begin. It was a close fight. Both teams scored over 20 in the two sets. The latter won. Sayang.

Drat, I’m becoming forgetful. What is it that I’m supposed to blog today? Ah! The Detective Conan episode I recently watched is the Vampire Murder Case. It’s a two-episode case, so having no classes today gave me the ‘great’ opportunity of knowing who the murderer was. On site updates, I’ve been installing plugins here and there. And smilies are now available in the comment forms! It’ll be our Christmas Party at the dorm tomorrow. I hope everyone gets satisfactory gifts. Tuesday is the big day for the students here who’re bound for Mindanao for the break. As what I’ve eavesdropped  so far, it seems that this will definitely be a ‘big’ trip catering most of us here! Nah, this is kinda a senseless post. I might delete it.

P.S. My stomach continues to burn! Argh! But why is it that it only goes to the extreme at night?

Season’s Festivities

New layout’s finally here¹. I’m quite satisfied with my WP coding this time (though it overall sucks when you view the code in HTML). This is v.11, and it took me ages to finish it. I initially wanted everything to be on the center, then thought of having it on the right, but ended up still having it on the left.

Last Thursday we had our batch Christmas party at Hilltop. It’s a barbeque house here in Miag-ao. We had a minimum-worth of P20 for our exchanging of gifts. Cool. huh? I bought mine, like, 30 minutes before going to place. Sorry, but I really am not good at buying gifts (and pasalubongs too). I think there were two pairs who literally exchanged gifts with each other. One was our youthful teacher Ma’am Halique and Christi. It happens that Christi hasn’t undergone a class from her yet, so it was quite some acquaintance.

By Friday I had dinner with some of my fellow officers in the Tubao organization. There were only seven of us. I didn’t feel sad, for I was already expecting that number (curse those other worthless officers). Also, I don’t like a big lot. The liempo was great, together with the Red Horse Grande after it. Hehehe..

In a flirt dance dirty dancing (Tango) encounter. In no time I was kissing her lips and t*ts we made out. A scandal of her spread out. Then there were deaths in the family. At the very end, Mama was accompanying two aunts of mine towards the highway, to wait for a bus. I joined them, under the storm, crying.

When I woke up on Saturday, I immediately typed the details of my dream in my cellphone (above). It was absolutely interesting at first, but became the opposite later on. I’ve already taken a Psychology subject before, so I guess I no longer have to wonder how dreams could be of the weirdest sort sometimes.

Our group was the first to present an E-R Diagram in CMSC127 this morning. Outcome was fine. For the remaining number of days, there’ll be no classes in Software Eng’g, Linear Algebra, and Statistics. *woot* Assignments are lurking around the corner though. Maybe the new year at school’s going to be brutal. Tuesday = Next Week = Home = Mindanao.

The Dragon’s Idleness

Today = Rest Day. Yes, a day that every student wishes. It also goes for next Wednesday. Our teacher said he’ll not be teaching because of some research (?) work around. However, it didn’t give me the opportunity to be productive. Ack. Played Tennis in the afternoon and I was feeling sticky allover after. Here are a few things over the past days/weeks:

Our dorm sportsfest was last November 30. I would love to blog about it in detail but then, some things are better left unsaid, right? The call-time was supposed to be 5:15 but ended up at 6:00. We ‘jogged’ the near covered court and then proceeded with our cheering competition. There are two teams by the way — odd and even-numbered rooms. After breakfast, the larong pinoy started. I was the stubborn (hehe) in charge of the Tumbang Preso and was glad that it went smooth. In Luksong Tinik, I never thought that I could jump pretty high (well, who wouldn’t in this height?). The most haggard game of the day was “Catching the Dragon’s Tail”. Really, it was very exhausting that I felt my stomach was emptied after it. Hmm.. Guess this would be all for now. Hehe.. Lazy me. The music video above’s entitled “Dimelo” by the way. Enrique Iglesias. It’s the Spanish version of “Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song)”. Check it out.

Trillanes = Coup d’état

What the fuck is going on around here? Christian in his Twitter this afternoon said that he saw a possible coup d’état as he was going home. True enough, there were no other news on TV when I arrived at the dorm from the court. I have no single idea of what it’s all about and why it happened blah, blah, blah. Before, when I was younger (shoot, I’m not yet that old, okay?), I never remembered anything like this happening in the country. I don’t know. Maybe I was just way too passive. Well, actually, I still am up to now. It never comes to me to bother too much when it comes to national issues. But why is it that it doesn’t seem so right now?

When I was having dinner I asked my Political Science student dormmate Zeny on what the commotion was all about. She comments that it would’ve been better if the military exchanged shots immediately with the group-that-I-don’t-know-but-for-certain-is-the-government-side. Prior to that, I received a txt message from a former dormmate who idolizes — and crushes — the legendary (ugh) Trillanes.

“We have enough will-power and fighting spirit to bring this government down. Gloria o Pagbabago?” -Sen. Trillanes- *idol tlg!*

Just what the heck? I absolutely hated the last sentence. For me, she sounded as if Trillanes is a god or something. *sharpshooter aims — BANG!* I don’t know how this will have its end. Media people have been handcuffed and kept in a bus, tear gas being used to halt things, nah, I think Zeny’s idea is right after all. In the end, this may be all a mere Pakitang Tao.

Lighting Up The Christmas Tree

Last night we had this activity in the dorm in which each room is to have a customized pasabit to the Christmas Tree — something that has a picture of the four residents in the room. I never thought it’d be as funny as it turned out to be. There were many “Oohs” and “Wows” for those who really put up effort in their decoration while humor has it for those who, let’s say, didn’t put any effort at all. When everyone was done, the lights were turned off and the Christmas lights on the tree were lighted. It looked really nice. Following that activity was a 1-hour Open House (an activity where everyone is gained access to all the wings of the dorm i.e. boys can go to the girls’ and vice versa). We ‘toured’ the dorm starting from Room 1. When we arrived at Room 7, Shiela was jokingly (perhaps? Lol) trying to mess its door decoration. See, for some reason, she always calls the people residing there “flirts.” But that doesn’t mean the offensive one, so to speak. It sure was funny. When we came to our room, the Room 7 girls were already there and I saw Carmen peeking at my cabinet! Then the others locked us up and when we opened the door, Carmen did very funny gestures as if..you know. Haha. The night would’ve been perfect, until..

I clicked on the cool (yes, that’s the word) avatar I recently made which was stored in the 2GB Transcend JetFlash USB Flash Disk. But then, it said, “Preview not available.” What? The next instant my files were already being removed one by one, by some ghost inside the computer I presume. With no other option left to do, with all those freakin’ weird files around the disk, I formatted it without further hesitation. I am glad that I was able to have a backup of the files in the computer. It was before the semestral break though. And then, I just remembered the HXH mangas I downloaded!! *sigh* I had it copied to my desktop a few days ago pala. So what was lost was basically the newest chapter I mentioned in my previous post. This is the second time that it happened. I don’t know for what reason, is it the flash disk that’s becoming sick? The first time was when a classmate borrowed it to transfer some files. When she returned it, dead. Last night, before I realized it, the computer was playing music, which means that someone did it while I was away. It was strike two. Then again, could one easily do something like this? I don’t even suspect it to be a virus at all.
